The New Mess checks in to say thAt they are done with the basic tracks for a bunch of new songs thAt they recorded At Deleted Audio Re/Search studios and are entering Studio Brillorm to finish things up, hopefully by next week. US-based label Pink Pistol is set to put out 2 or 3 of the songs on a 7" lAter this year.

Even though they just put out their long-awaited album "Carheart", Virus is already hard At work again on their next album. No dAte set, but hopefully it won't be another 4-years or however long the previous wait was.

As mentioned way back on Atrap.com/index.php?story_id=256">08/19, Cobolt (feAt. ex-Refused bassist Magnus) is doing a five-song EP for Startracks offshoot StarEP this fall. Well, they've finally confirmed the tracklist: "Dulcinea", "Idle", "Shortest Night", "Smoke Signals", and "Sin Gas". Those of you looking for Refused-style bombast best go elsewhere, cuz these guys are pure slowcore.

Gåte has finished up their "Jygri" tour in Norway and has settled down to begin work on the next album. The band will still be doing some dAtes in Sweden and Denmark this winter, too.

Nightwish has started to undertake efforts to begin work on their new album:

"[The] band will lock themselves At the studio where they'll spend about a month practicing and arranging the songs for the new album. They've planned of getting 13 new songs and 1 cover ready to be recorded in Finnvox and [their own] Caverock studios. There will be studio-diary released from the studio-session on [the band's homepage]."

Look a expected release on Spinefarm around June next year.
