Norway's Madrugada is currently at Sound City Studios in LA recording a brand new album with producer George Drakoulias (Twilight Singers, Primal Scream, Ride, The Afghan Whigs, The Jayhawks, Black Crowes). Madrugada will be releasing a video for their new download-only single "Blood Shot Adult Commitment" in the near future. They originally filmed footage of the band playing on top of the Ringnes building in Oslo where they practice, but instead will use new similar footage from their recent trip to New York. It was also originally reported that they were going to use a brand new recording for the single that sounded more like the live version of the song, but will instead use an edited version of the original from the album as to not needlessly confuse potential new fans in the UK.
"Blood Shot Adult Commitment" will be the next Madrugada single released in the UK. It's coming out September 20 through MFN/BMG and there's no word on what the b-sides will be at this point.

As a special treat I've added two new mp3s to the playlist on the right. First up, there's a live track from Christian Kjellvander. As you can see, he just began his short run of West Coast dates last night opening for The Cardigans. I'm definitely looking forward to the SF show on Monday. And for the people that were asking - he's playing third out of four acts and should be on around 10-10:30pm.
Next, is a track from Sivert Høyem and his debut solo album "Ladies And Gentlemen Of The Opposition". You may recognize his voice from his main act Madrugada, but his other stuff is pretty great as well. Check it out.

They are just one of the featured artists on the 'Live in May' streaming radio playlist on the right.
