Okay, that Madrugada video shoot at the Kilburn in London is back on for Thursday. Same time, same everything, just no full band set after filming. Instead, you get a short acoustic set. Boo-hoo! The flyer again: http://www.emi.no/madrugada/kilburn.jpg

Madrugada's planned free show/video shoot in London this week has been postponed to due an unfortunate scheduling conflict. More info when I get it.

Madrugada has confirmed that their new album will be called "The Deep End" and is due out February 28 in Norway, March 21 in Europe, and the UK a little bit later. A video for the first single "The Kids Are On High Street" will be shot in London next week and there will be a free show happening as well. The band will play a late set upstairs at The Kilburn on January 27. Simply print out this flyer and show it to the guy at the door. It opens at 8 and space is limited, so they recommend you show up on time or hit the downstairs bar early if you want in.

Drummer Simen Vangen has decided to leave Madrugada in order to concentrate more on his jazz projects. He'll still continue to work with singer Sivert Høyem in his solo project The Opposition and will play his last show with the band at by:Larm on February 10. Remember, they're one of the many fine acts on the "It's a trap reader's companion" compilation and they've been collecting a bounty of awards and nominations these past few weeks for their newest album "Smugglers". I shouldn't have to say it again, but it's an amazing record and I'm sure it'll be getting some sort of international release in the very near future.
