MIC Norway profiles Madrugada on the eve of their latest European tour: http://www.mic.no/mic.nsf/doc/art2005111411520416631723

Madrugada will perform at the 2005 Nobel Peace Prize Concert on December 11 in Oslo along with a long-list of esteemed international artists. Sadly, in order the make room for the special show, the dates in Essen and Stuttgart have been cancelled. In other news, Madrugada has revealed that they will finally be doing a live album for release in early 2006. Details to come.

Norwegian singer/songwriter Ane Brun will release an album of duets entitled ...drumroll... "Duets" on November 23. Some of the artists she sings with on said record include Madrugada, Syd Matters, Ron Sexsmith, Teitur, The Tiny, and Wendy McNeill.

The band features guitarists Alex Kloster-Jensen from the Ricochets and Robert Burås of Madrugada and have a dirty rock sound kinda like MC5 or The Sonics. (via)

Madrugada reportedly performed with Bodø Sinfonietta at the Nordland Musikkfestuke in Bodø, Norway last night. They played a total of eight songs with orchestral backing, four new and four old. But that's not all - the symphonic undertaking was actually a warm-up for the upcoming "Ivory town" project the band is doing.
