Logh has completed the recording of their brand new, third album "A sunset panorama". As mentioned before, the whole thing was tracked live with no overdubs and was completed between 11am and 9pm on September 26 at Studio Gröndahl. The event was also filmed, so the album will probably be released as a split CD/DVD so you can actually watch and listen to the band playing the album in full surround sound. February 21 is the European release date with Sweden to follow on the 23rd and North America soon after. The band will tour Scandinavia in February/March, Europe in March/April and then will finally come to the US and North America around May. About time! Needless to say, I am very, very excited to hear this news.

Hopefully, now that Bad Taste has more US distro, Logh will finally get the international recognition they deserve.

Since they are currently spotlighted with the album of the month, I've added an mp3 from Logh for download. Be sure to check these guys out if you haven't already done so.
Bad Taste Records has announced the signing of Quit Your Dayjob, the first new Swedish band on the label since Logh was picked up three years ago. The three-piece band from Malmö previously released an 8-track mini-CD earlier this year on I Made This Records which will be reissued by Bad Taste internationally on October 25. Here's how they describe the band:
With a twangy guitar, a synthesizer way past its due date and snotty drums sounding like the B-52's on 45 rpm; the record makes The Cramps sound like Devo in a wheelchair.

It's September so that means it's time for a new album of the month. As I've said many times before, Logh is one of favorite bands and "The Raging Sun" is a masterpiece. If you don't already have this record, you are seriously missing out.
Logh will be recording their new album in September and plans to track the entire thing live in four days, including vocals. Seeing as how most every live recording I've heard from these guys is just as good as their albums, I have no doubt that it will be amazing. So does that mean a late fall or early 2005 release?
Once We Were just finished work on an EP for release on A Tenderversion Records sometime around later September/early October. The recording was done at Mission Hall with the esteemed Mathias Oldén of Logh manning the board and lending his Steve Albini-esque sound aesthetic to the proceedings. Check out the song "Em": http://www.oncewewere.net/mp3/oww_ep01_em.mp3
The mighty Switchblade has recorded two new songs for a 7" that they'll be bringing with them to the upcoming Ieper Fest on August 29 at Vort N´ Vis. One song features Mattias Friberg from Logh on vocals and additional guitar, so I'm definitely excited to hear it. That's not the only Logh connection either - Mathias Oldén engineered the session at Mission Hall.
UK-based label Must Destroy Music will release Logh's amazing album "The Raging Sun" on July 26 in their corner of the world.
