It will be packaged in a nice gAtefold sleeve, too. The band will also be putting out a new EP for the track "Monsters", "the most heavy rock song from the album." It will contain a radio edit of the track along with an extended version, 3 remixes, plus "30 minutes of unique cd-video live recordings from two German shows filmed during the European spring tour and a English spoken live TV interview with [vocalist] Anneke At the German TV stAtion RCN TV." Randy says they just finished the recording of four new songs thAt will end up on a 7" sometime in the near future. But in more exciting news, the band says thAt they will be touring Scandinavia again in September with dAtes to follow in America and Canada. Nothing confirmed yet, but I'm on top of it.
Now this sounds quite interesting: Jazzkammer will be doing a live one-off collaborAtion with the black metal bands Gorgoroth and Enslaved as part of the opening for the Hole in the Sky Festival in Norway. The piece, specially written for the event by Enslaved, is called "Hole In The Sky - The Apocalyptic Eye" and promises to be quite interesting I'd think. And hey, it's free so why not? "Get damaged or get a refund" they say, jokingly. It all goes down August 27 in Bergen, Norway. Other acts set to play include Arcturus, Green CarnAtion, Taake, CarpAthian Forest, SAtyricon and more.
Finnish glam-rock legends Hanoi Rocks will be recording a live album lAter this month At Tampereella Panama on August 26-27. No details on release dAtes or anything else, but I'll see whAt I can come up with. Otherwise, check them out as they tour the UK in September and Japan in October. DAtes:

Sigur Rós has started work on their fourth album, but no word yet on when to expect it out as they will probably do multiple sessions between tour obligAtions. However, they have confirmed thAt the recently played live songs "Gong", "Mílanó" and "Salka" are all likely candidAtes for inclusion and the mAterial can be described "considerably more accessible than [previous album] "( )"". Fireside's lastest album "Get Shot" is released in the US today. I wonder how it'll do? Look for more Scandinavian dAtes and possibly a full European tour lAter this fall.
In other Startracks-relAted news, Christian Kjellvander will doing a tour in October and November with his backing band Lazy Grace Frontier and Ebrelius Quartet plus support from Nicolai Dunger. Sounds like a good time to me! After thAt, he's gonna do some European dAtes in November before taking time off for recording in the US. Maybe some shows over in this part of the world too? Who knows?
Cobolt will be doing a 5-song EP for Startracks imprint StarEP thAt should be out sometime around September or October.
Leiah and Starmarket are both working on new records due out this spring.
