MyFriends: Atatlas, Clark Nova, Hymsk, Jong Pang, Lip Service, Suklaatehdas
New music, old music - there's an endless supply waiting to be discovered.
Atatlas
SOUNDS LIKE: The band's own description of "Washington DC" is apt, but I also hear strong elements of Swedish noiserock ala early KVLR, Fireside, The Price of Ink and so on. It's a shame if it's true that they've thrown in the towel, but hopefully we'll see them emerge again in similarly awesome new bands.
HIGHLIGHTS: Malthus dilemma, 4yearnightmare

Clark Nova
SOUNDS LIKE: Loud instrumental rock with spacey, fuzzed-out, repetitive riffage. Stoned Krautrock, perhaps?.
HIGHLIGHTS: John Wayne, God for nothing, Timur lenk, Ourobouros - anything off their latest album essentially.

Hymsk
SOUNDS LIKE: How can music be both simultaneously annoying and yet so intriguing? Like The Residents before them, this is art music made for (and by?) fringe weirdos.
HIGHLIGHTS: Both tracks are worth hearing

Jong Pang
SOUNDS LIKE: Kitchen sink indie/electronica/whatever you wanna call it. Pop structures and melodies, but orchestrated in new, exciting ways.
HIGHLIGHTS: New order, Small cut sensations

Lip Service
SOUNDS LIKE: Heavy, trance-inducing industrial/EBM. Alternates between the big beat of Nitzer Ebb and the dark pop of early Depeche Mode.
HIGHLIGHTS: Velvet machine, Two worlds collide, Trace the 14 lights

Suklaatehdas
SOUNDS LIKE: Finnish tango! Because myspace isn't all about cutting-edge indierock, y'know.
HIGHLIGHTS: Irma, Seireenni
