MyFriends: The Spurts, Virak, Easy, Seda, That Dude Prince, Evocation

I'd do this every week if I had the time. But I don't. Alas, here are a mere six more new artists worthy of investigation.

The Spurts
SOUNDS LIKE: Terrible name, but I can't help loving their shambly, rough-edged power-pop sound.
HIGHLIGHTS: Long way home, Stay tonight

Virak
SOUNDS LIKE: These guys have been on my to-do list for ages. Great atmospheric/cinematic rock from Denmark.
HIGHLIGHTS: Arms raised, Little creeps

Easy
SOUNDS LIKE: The quip says it all: "Norskweeegian soul". Actually, it used to say "Norwegian Forest Skweee", but either way, you cannot lose.
HIGHLIGHTS: Every track is great

Seda
SOUNDS LIKE: Seda is Teresa K. Aslanian, wife of fellow Norwegian artist Jakob Holm-Lupo (White Willow, The Opium Cartel), an artist I correspond with every so often. Her brother is also dating one of my oldest friends. It's a small world!
HIGHLIGHTS: Oh yeah, the music - I like "Head of a girl" and "Look out my window" best

That Dude Prince
SOUNDS LIKE: Up-and-coming hip-hop out of Stockholm. Definite hitmaker potential.
HIGHLIGHTS: Knock you down, Red button

Evocation
SOUNDS LIKE: Classic Swedish death metal. Oh wait, that's probably because they first started in the early 90s and have only recently gotten back together to pick up exactly where they left off.
HIGHLIGHTS: The dead, Greed
