Top 10s for 2007: Svein Egil Hatlevik (Zweizz)

Ok, so I looked through the lists that have already been published, and it's clear to me that I should not write a list with some half-assed concept, nor should I write a list of all the fantastic things that happened to me this year -- seeing that I did not even get to point four on any of those egocentric lists that people submitted. Sometimes laziness is a good thing, because I was about to write one of those myself.

Here is my list:

Best Scandinavian albums of 2007 (although I probably missed out on a lot of good stuff), in no particular order:

Hans Appelqvist "Sifantin och Mörkret"

Bergraven "Dödsvisioner"

Manes "How the world came to an end"

Ulver "Shadows of the sun"

Shining "Grindstone"

Hild Sofie Tafjord "Kama"

Mayhem "Ordo ad chao"

Sten Ove Toft "Lit de parade"

Momrakattakk "Masters of Momrak"

Jens Lekman "Night falls over Kortedala"

I guess there are too many Norwegians on that list. I'll check out more music from other Scandinavian countries next year. Let that be my new year's resolution..

Svein Egil Hatlevik performs under the alias Zweizz and is also involved in many other music projects such as Pronounced "Sex", Umoral, Fleurety and probably a whole lot of other names I'm forgetting. Oh yeah, he's also a respected Norwegian journalist.
