Top 10s for 2006: Amandine

During the period from November 05 to November 06 we have spent roughly three months on the road, playing somewhere between 60 and 70 shows in Europe and the US. And while on tour you get to stay in some weird places. So here's the top ten strangest places we've slept at last year.

01. An old torpedo factory in the Castro district of San Francisco

02. A closet in Boston

03. A warehouse in Philadelphia

04. A gazebo in Nashville

05. the "L-hotel" in Connecticut. The kind of road motel you only thought existed in cheap horror movies. Of the HOTEL sign outside, only the "L" was lit. And it got worse once you got inside (and the only thing you could watch on TV was the weather channel).

06. An attic in St Gallen

07. A renaissance villa in Fucheccio (Italy), once owned by the powerful Medici family.

08. A cabin in the middle of nowhere, or wait, it was in the middle of Pennsylvania.

09. A farm outside Verona

10. Every kind of floor imaginable

Amandine says: As we speak we're in the process of mixing our second full-length album. It's scheduled for release in early April (that date might change though) and will hopefully sound a bit rougher around the edges compared to our debut album. If everything goes according to plan we'll follow up the release by touring Europe and the US in the spring and summer of 2007. To keep updated, check out www.amandinemusic.com and www.fat-cat.co.uk.
