Swedish prog-metal band Pain of Salvation has announced a couple upcoming gigs at Lokomotivet in Eskilstuna where they will preview material from their new album "Be". They say this also might be the only chance to see the actual recording lineup perform the material. "Apart from the band there will be nine orchestra musicians on stage, and Fredrik will play the grand piano and the harpsichord/cembalo," notes vocalist/ guitarist Daniel Gildenlöw, "we are talking the real thing here, no synthesizers! We promise a very special experience with music styles colliding, video projections and a very intriguing concept revolving around the Story of Everything, gods and slaves..." The dates booked are August 30, September 5, September 6, September 12, and September 13. Look for the album next spring from Inside Out Music.
