I had no idea that Viisikko put out a full-length, but apparently they did and the whole damn thing is up for streaming/download via Bandcamp. Cassette copies are sold out, but apparently a proper vinyl pressing is on the way and I'll try my best to keep y'all posted. Recommended? Very.

The new Kiki Pau album "Pines", now available for streaming/purchase via Bandcamp and SoundCloud. Recorded by Kia Sofia in Helsinki and then sent to Stockholm to be mixed by Gustav Ejstes of Dungen. I haven't listened yet myself, but the tracklist promises four long songs which is quite a departure from the band's previous work, so I'm definitely intrigued.

Sad to say that I'm in agreement; they're a good sounding band on the surface, but it's far too safe sounding and the songs are lacking. puts out a ton of amazing releases, but this is not one of them.
