NONS
Ashi Ali is another promising, beguiling talent for pop panache and at time captivating compositions built on piano. Judge Miss Ali on one song: "To bed" and she will own you. It could have been written by Damian Rice but, while the musical base is not a million miles away from The Tiny, it might be the crescendos? Indeed, Ali has a similarity in tone to Asa of Hell on Wheels and "Fire, fire" is surely the long lost First Floor Power epitaph? "These months" offers darting and swirling epic psyche. "Are you here soon" is a delicate little waltz meets country number, "Warm fronts" comes out of Portishead territory, "Somewhere else" could've been a Cardigans album classic. All impressive comparisons - it is a bit fraught at times, but musically deft - so when Ali decides her fuller path, she will be [even more] genius, because here are 11 smoldering teasers, and not a jot to hamper the Ali's credibility.

Look for supporting tourdates in Russia to follow. In other Tiny news, "Kind of like you" will be the next European single and it will be released next week with the b-side "Last week end", a song by Tiny frontwoman Ellekari solo.

As you can see, some of these tracks are old and previously released (TSOOL for instance), but most are new and exclusive to this release. The exact order is still TBD and a few more tracks are due for submission, but I'll definitely be carrying it in the webstore when it's released on November 15.
El Perro Del Mar was supposed to open for Camera Obscura on their upcoming UK tour, but I believe she got sick and had to cancel. Have no fear though - The Tiny will fill in with their own particular brand of melancholy Swedish goodness:
10/16 - Cabaret Voltaire, Edinburgh
10/17 - Jabezz Clegg, Manchester
10/18 - The Scala, London
10/19 - Thekla, Bristol
10/20 - The Social, Nottingham
Under the Stars, Me! has started booking The Tiny in Europe and here's the first of some new tourdates for the end of the year:

The Tiny's most recent album "Starring: someone like you" will finally get a US release in February. Maybe a tour, too. Look for them to tour Europe this fall.

If you like bands like Lampshade and Under Byen who fit somewhere between the realm of post-rock and dreampop, you'll definitely dig this. There's also a bit of the chamber-pop sound of The Tiny thrown in as well. The songs they have for streaming sound great, so check it out.
Tack! Tack! Tack! checks in after returning home from Emmaboda:
T!T!T! at Emmaboda had a strong red threat of Sweden through the line-up. From Brighton (home of Sweden Made Me) came Bobby McGees. The UK-Sweden link was further bolstered by Monster Bobby's membership in 2/7 Swedish band The Pipettes.
Nevertheless, this was T!T!T! at Emmaboda with IAT jocks.
Festival faves The Bobby McGees gave up seven songs to 150 people crowded in the D&tC tent with Monster Bobby following on with a further six songs, increasing the crowd to 250 - this in competition against Hello Saferide performing on the main stage. Not too shabby we say.
Bands to catch the eye of T!T!T! included Familjen, Hemstad, I'm From Barcelona, Vapnet, SMK, Hello Saferide and D&tC, to name just a few. We missed them, but The Tiny were said to be immense. Old timers like Billie the Vision and the Dancers gave a memorable show, and trumpetplayer Lisa promised to marry T!T!T! Even more lovely was when The Pipettes dedicated "Pull shapes" to T!T!T!
T!T!T! dedicated it to all the other would-be proponents of music on the scene for Scandi music. From Spain, Italy, Scotland, England, Ireland, USA and elsewhere; everyone was there. You know who, Tack!
