Meshuggah has posted a bit of an update: http://www.meshuggah.net/news/
Seems like the band is probably not going to tour much for the new album "Catch 33" as they would rather wait until they have something new they can actually perform live. As mentioned before, the new stuff record is one 40+ minute track broken into multiple sections. That's not exactly the sort of stuff that translates well on stage.

Meshuggah has completed their latest masterwork "Catch 33" and will release it on April 11 via Nuclear Blast. The album will consist of one long 47-minute track broken into 13 parts that's said to be the 'musical opposite' of their last release, the one-song EP "I".

PopMatters reviews the epic one-song Meshuggah EP "I": http://popmatters.com/music/reviews/m/meshuggah-i.shtml

Meshuggah's new one-song EP "I" has finally been confirmed for a September 14 release date. Of course, it's already out on filesharing networks and sounds absolutely mindblowing. They are so musically intimidating, it makes me never want to pick up an instrument ever again.
