Old Man's Child, the long-running solo project of Galder from Dimmu Borgir, will release their new album "Vermin" on October 18 via Century Media.

Old Man's Child, the solo project of Galder from Dimmu Borgir, has finished recording their new album "In the orbit of torment". The record features eight songs, one being a rerecording of the classic tune "Born of the Flickering", the title track from the first album released in '95. Galder once again played every instrument on the album except for the drums which were handled by Reno Kiilerich (Dimmu Borgir, Exmortem).

Norwegian avant-metal act Arcturus has signed with Season of Mist Records and will be releasing a new album sometime around August with a European tour to follow. They have also announced the addition of new vocalist Simen Hestnaes (Dimmu Borgir, ex-Borknagar, Lamented Souls) who takes over for Øyvind Hægeland (Spiral Architect) who left earlier this month.

Dimmu Borgir reports that they are taking it easy for most of 2005 to rest and record a new album. The band also might be rerecording their acclaimed second album "Stormblåst" sometime soon, but nothing's confirmed quite yet. Sounds like a bad idea to me, but whatever. I guess the Ozzfest crowd might buy it.

Dimmu Borgir got kicked off the air for using profanity during a live radio interview at WMMS-FM (100.7) in Cleveland, Ohio. The band was there to promote their Ozzfest appearance and reportedly didn't understand the regulations of what you could or couldn't say. Europeans could care less about a few blue words, but apparently the DJ got up in arms, kicked the band out of the studio immediately and then followed it up by telling his audience to throw rocks and other stuff at the band during their show. Lovely.
