There's a brand new Baby Woodrose track up on the Bad Afro myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/badafrorecords
The new album "Chasing rainbows" from Danish rockers Baby Woodrose will be out on October 22 via Bad Afro.
Bad Afro has now confirmed the release of The Setting Son's debut album for September 3 with the first single "In a certain way" now coming out on 7" vinyl on May 14. As mentioned before, the band is the project of Danish singer/songwriter Sebastian Kristensen and features drummer Lorenzo Woodrose of Baby Woodrose along with Adam Olsson (The Aim) on gutiar and Marco Burro (The Untamed) on bass.
Bad Afro has announced that they will be releasing the self-titled debut album from The Setting Son this coming September with the first single "In a certain way" preceding it in April. The band features drummer Lorenzo Woodrose of Baby Woodrose along with Sebastian Kristensen on vocals, Adam Olsson (The Aim) on gutiar and Marco Burro (The Untamed) on bass and was recorded at Black Tornado in Copenhagen with Lorenzo and Ralph Rjeicy manning the desk.
Bad Afro has announced that they'll be releasing the debut album "2000 micrograms from home" from Danish all-star act Dragontears on March 19. The band features members from Baby Woodrose and On Trial and started out as an improv/jam project back around New Year's 2005. Go here for samples/more info: http://www.myspace.com/dragontears2000

MP3: On Trial - Kill city lights
Denmark's On Trial has been around for over 10 years now and their new album "Forever" is their first since 2002's "Blinded by the sun". Apparently it's also the first record they've done since losing Guf Lorenzen and Anders Skjødt who left to start Baby Woodrose. Their age and maturity shows - unlike upstart hardrockers such as Wolfmother and The Sword, On Trial is capable of writing real songs that transcend the usual genre labels and clichés. It's more than just a few cool riffs put next to eachother. In the same way that Motorpsycho looks back to the heyday of classic rock for inspiration, On Trial too looks backwards. However, while both bands might have one foot in the past, they are still marching forward. On Trial plays things a little more straight and doesn't stray as far from their fuzz-soaked, revved-up rock'n'roll sound. Forget those other young bands, this is the real rock revival.

Bad Afro has announced the signing of long-running Danish rock act On Trial. The band's new album will be their first since 2002's "Blinded by the sun" and will also mark the first recorded appearance of new members Anders Stub (ex-Mother Superior and The Royal Beat Conspiracy) and Bjarni Olsen following the departure of ex-members Guf Lorenzen and Anders Skjødt left to form Baby Woodrose. The as-yet-untitled album has been assigned a May 8 release date and final studio sessions will take place later this month at Black Tornado studio under the tutelage of producer Ralph A. Rjeily.
Sweatmaster has revealed that the title for their next album will be "Tom Tom Bullet". The band is currently wrapping things up with the assistance of Bad Afro Records house-producer Jürgen Hendlmeier (The Flaming Sideburns, Baby Woodrose, Ultra Bimboos) and has tentatively set a release date for March next year. The first single will include the tracks "Maggots" and "Fool" and is set to be released sometime in January. Exact dates and more details soon.
