SH's major label debut they say? Is that what the press sheet is touting? Pfork's staff is totally clueless about the band's past - the band's first (and still best) album "C'mon Let's Pretend" (1999) was on BMG/RCA in Sweden and was a considerable success. They are most definitely not what I'd consider an indie band. Doesn't anyone do any research?

Once upon a time, Stina Nordenstam used to reluctanty play live. Those days are long gone, but in anticipation of her upcoming new album I've posted a couple bootleg tracks from way, way back in 1991. The sound quality isn't perfect and the between song banter is decidedly downbeat, but the music, as always, is great. First half of the set is up now, the rest will come next week or something.

Nettwerk has licensed "Let there be morning" from The Perishers for release in the US. There's no exact date set yet, but they say it should be out in February.
