In collaboratin with mobile phone company 3, on-demand video service Musicbrigade is now presenting 'Musicbriagde on Air' for users in Sweden and Denmark. The service will stream a playlist of videos to your phone, kind of like a video music channel I'd imagine. There's also premium services available for downloading videos to your phone for on-demand use as well as ringtones and all that other stuff. Being that I'm just a dumb American who still doesn't even use SMS, this all seems kinda silly to me, but hey - what do I know?

New mp3 today from the Finnish noiserock band Fun. I totally flipped for these guys the very first time I heard a track I downloaded at their website. I knew immediately that I wanted to work with them which is why they are on the upcoming "Reader's companion" compilation, due out very soon. Their sound is very much rooted in the Chicago/Touch & Go/Steve Albini tradition, but they make it their own. You'd think there would be a lot more bands attempting to play this sort of stuff, but thankfully it is not the case. Anyhow, these guys rule so check them out and buy their new album "Szklarska poreba" out now on If Society.

At long last, it's been finalised that the new Soundtrack of Our Lives album will be called "Origin Vol. 1", not 'phase 1', 'part 1' or anything else. The final masters and artwork are approved and sent off to be pressed and it will finally be released on October 13 in Sweden, October 18 in the UK. As reported here before, it probably won't get a proper US release until February next year.

Torpedo has enlisted Jimmy Ottoson from The Je Ne Sais Quoi as their new drummer.

Madrugada will be releasing a video for their new download-only single "Blood Shot Adult Commitment" in the near future. They originally filmed footage of the band playing on top of the Ringnes building in Oslo where they practice, but instead will use new similar footage from their recent trip to New York. It was also originally reported that they were going to use a brand new recording for the single that sounded more like the live version of the song, but will instead use an edited version of the original from the album as to not needlessly confuse potential new fans in the UK.
