The name of the upcoming split record with Viola and Iconcrash has been confirmed as "Viola ♥ Iconcrash" and will be out on November 3. The record is being mastered on September 30 and if you can't wait to hear it, DJ Pearly at Club Anvil in Helsinki will be spinning some of the tracks that same evening.

Dolores Records has announced that the next release in their singles club will be from Soundtrack of Our Lives. Also coming soon from the label will be the debut Deportees album "All prayed up!" on October 27. The first single "Not tonight" is out October 13. And lastly, Delores will also be releasing a Broder Daniel DVD called "Army of dreams" featuring a live show recording in Göteborg on December 19, 2003. Of course, the disc will also include bonus interview material, videos and tons more. It hits stores on September 29.

Supersilent is playing Tonic in NYC on November 8. Khanate were reportedly listed earlier as a possible support act, but are no longer on the calendar. Oh, and they're playing the Empty Bottle in Chicago on November 6 as well.

Kite's new album "Bring out your dead" has been delayed 'due to mysterious circumstances' and will finally be available at the band's record release show in Olso on September 27 and in stores on October 4.

Luleå-based metal act The Duskfall has reportedly signed with Nuclear Blast Records. They play to enter the studio around April next year to record their third album.

EST aka Esbjorn Svensson Trio just won the 2004 European Jazz Award. The prize is voted on by 21 music industry professionals from 21 different countries across Europe and will be properly awarded on December 3 at a ceremony in Vienna led by representatives of the Federal Chancellor for Culture of Austria and the City of Vienna´s Cultural Office. The band is currently on tour in the US and I totally and completely blew it by missing them last week, but I heard it was great. Dates for the rest of the year:
