The cause of death has not yet been released, but rumor speculation is saying that it was suicide. The Norwegian black-metal act recently signed with Tabu Recordings and was planning on recording in May/July, but has not yet decided whether they will carry on.
Original Hanoi Rocks guitarist Nasty Suicide will be rejoining his old bandmates for a New Year's Eve show at Caribia/994-Hall in Turku, Finland. This will be the first time he's played with the guys since the band originally broke up in 1984.
And speaking of those guys, here's a review of their most recent album "Twelve Shots on the Rocks" from DigitalMetal.com in anticipation of its upcoming US release.
Listenable Records will be putting out a five song EP of previously unreleased Soilwork material that was recorded during the "Steelbath Suicide" and "Chainheart Machine" sessions. I wonder how the band feels about this and if they approve, since this is totally the sort of thing that smells like a label trying to cash in. Anyhow, here's the tracklist:
01. Burn (Deep Purple cover)
02. Disentigrated Skies
03. Shadow Child (original version)
04. Egypt (Mercyful Fate cover)
05. The Aardvark Trail (live)
Impious are currently busy preparing material for their fourth album and are just about ready to enter guitarist Valle Adzic's own Digizone Studio for pre-production. Around February/March next year the band will enter Studio Mega to record the real thing. No title yet, but some of the songs they are working on include "Suicide Park", "Beneath The Underworld", "Death_Wish_Scar" and "Bloodspill Revelation".
It seems that the Koch International release of Entombed's new album "Inferno" was premature. The label received it from Music for Nations with the understanding that it was good to go, but went ahead without letting the band know, and also without having a signed contract. Anyhow, it's been pulled and will see a 'proper' release on Threeman/Century Media sometime early next year. What a mess. In related news, Entombed's personal label Threeman will get the vinyl releases of the band's last three albums "Uprising", "Morning Star" and "Inferno" later this month. The labels other planned releases are as follows:
The Project Hate MCMXCIX - "Hate, Dominate, Congregate, Eliminate" out August 25
Alpha Saphari (formerly known as Washoe) - currently recording album , tentative title is "Commercial Suicide"
Danish dance sensation Junior Senior will be on Regis and Kelly on Monday. Check local listings for channel and airtime.
