has announced that they'll be doing a number of digital re-releases from the old archive via the new imprint . First up on October 15 will be Soviac's albums "GMC out in the fields" and "Trilogy sexlife rodeo friscotti" plus The Price of Ink's self-titled EP.
Göteborg-based quartet Convoj's self-titled EP is a promising mix of atmospheric rock in the vein of Interpol and fellow Swedes Torpedo with bits and pieces of Fugazi. This release contains five songs that draw in the listener with its dueling guitars and the vocals are a perfect match for the music. For a person who is pretty picky about her music, I was very impressed with this release. - Navy Keophan
This goes absolutely all over the place, and I love it! Seriously, we need more instrumental indie-rock records like this. The influences of EtVC are numerous but let's just mention the ones that stick out: early Stereolab, Sonic Youth, GBV and Mogwai. Combine that is one happy melting pot and you'll have a nice idea of what they are all about. If it were not for terribly recorded drums this album would have been a joy to listen to, but this little detail makes it alright but a bit annoying. Still very interesting. - Simon Thibaudeau
