International electronic artists Tim Exile (UK), Mental Overdrive (NOR) and Boska (SWE) are teaming up for a special Occupy Wall Street-themed performance at the Insomnia Festival in Tromsø, Norway on October 21 and are asking for protest participants to upload sound, pictures and video footage to be incorporated into the event. They say, "We will then use snippets of this media as the basis for a sonic and visual real-time event to show both our support of those who work for a more just global financial system, as well as to celebrate the immediacy of our wonderful world of present time communication technology." Personally, I'm not so into this style, but in no way can I deny that they excel at it.
The new album "Terminal twilight" from Norwegian progressive rock wizards White Willow is out today and here's a nice full-length sample tune to whet your appetite. If you dig dark, moody rock with layers of odd analog synths, you'll be into this.
