has picked up Danish act Treefight for Sunlight for North America and will be releasing their album "A collection of vibrations for your skull" over here on November 8.
Probably old news to anyone who spends a lot of time online when one week is pretty much the same as an eternity, but still worth reposting. "Parix" is the latest video from Danish hype When Saints Go Machine.
Kashmir will taking advantage of the 11/11/11 date to release a career retrospective album entitled "Katalogue". Said collection will include 32 songs including the obligatory new single "Electrified love" as well as a few live recordings from DM i Rock circa '93.
has signed Copenhagen-based 7-piece indierock act Raised Among Wolves and will be releasing their debut EP "Bear tracks" on November 14. Their current single "Boys will be kings" is currently in rotation on Danish radio and a video for the follow-up "You'll never be lonely" will be released on November 7.
Danish melancholy act Munich have a new acoustic EP that they are giving away as a free download: http://munichband.dk/
I haven't had a chance to listen yet, but seeing as how I've enjoyed everything they've done so far, I'd say it's worth checking out.
Scandinavian music mag Gaffa is expanding beyond Denmark and Sweden to Norway and will be opening their new website later this month with the free monthly print edition to follow in spring 2012. Øyvind Rones from Groove.no has been hired as editor.
Danish act Giana Factory will be putting out a 4x7" boxset featuring four tunes off their "Save the Youth" plus a cover of the same by a different act. The four songs and bands: "Dirty snow" and Trentemøller, "Rainbow girl" and Glasvegas, "Pixelated truth" and Autolux and "Change of heart" and VETO. The official release date is October 3.
Making the rounds through the Danish music blog world, no doubt helped along by its strong nationalistic content. Oh, and it's a decent song too -- can't forget that.
