What did you expect? Puppy dogs and rainbows? The new Wolfbrigade picks up exactly where the old one left off: 100% pissed-off and still raging, some 15 years down the road. No need to reinvent yourself when you invented the damn style in the first place.

I didn't expect too much from the new album "Comalive", but holy shit is it raging. If you're one of the many people who got into Disfear this past year, but still haven't explored the rest of the Swedish d-beat scene, it's gonna floor you.

Rise and Subvert has a brand new interview posted with Dadde of Wolfbrigade: http://riseandsubvert.blogspot.com/2008/10/wolfbrigade.html
Wolfbrigade has two brand new tracks up on myspace along with the final album-version of "Barren dreams" that will appear on their next album "Comalive": http://www.myspace.com/wolfbrigadeofficial
And speaking of the new album, the band reports that it will finally be released sometime around November/December via Hate/Farwell in Europe and Deranged in the US/North America. Expect a Germany tour to be announced around that time as well.
Wolfbrigade will be doing a split 7" with UK-based death-metal act Benediction on Feto Records. It will be limited to 2000 copies with 500 being issued as a picture disc and will feature two exclusive (I think) tracks from each band.
In other Wolfbrigade news, their US label Profane Existence has decided to close up shop which means that the release of upcoming album "Comalive" has been cancelled and their planned US tour is up in the air. The band is currently considering their options and is working hard at figuring out something to make it happen, but nothing has been decided yet. And for you crusties who might care, PE's magazine will still publish as usual and the upcoming releases from fellow Swedish acts Imperial Leather and Massmord will go as planned.
Swedish d-beat punks Wolfbrigade have a brand new track called "Barren dreams" up on myspace: http://www.myspace.com/wolfbrigadeofficial
Expect the new album "Comalive" to be ready for release in time for the band's US tour in September.
Swedish d-beat crusties Wolfbrigade will tour the US again in September. Tentative dates at myspace: http://www.myspace.com/wolfbrigadeofficial
Check out a trailer for the new "No One Is Illegal" DVD, due out on June 27: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMRjXy195tA
The film captures live footage and interviews from last year's Punk Illegal Fest in Sweden and features bands such as Avskum, Wolfbrigade, Victims, Uncurbed and more. All proceeds from DVD sales go to the No One Is Illegal asylum network for their help with refugee relief.
