Finally! A bunch of stuff from Startracks just came in to the mailorder department: Kristofer Åström, Christian Kjellvander and Tiger Lou. Didn't I say 2004 is the year of the singer/songwriter? Yep, sure did.
Remember that news about the upcoming singer/songwriter festival Picknick? (Picnic? whatever) Well, Startracks is doing a comp for all the artists. Tiger Lou has confirmed his contribution will include an acoustic version of the new song "Rushmore" along with the track "Like you said". A full-band version of "Rushmore" will be released another time. In other Tiger-related news, he will be shooting a video for the new single "Sell Out" soon with Gustav from Studio 24. Magnus Renfors was originally slated to work on it, but he's too busy to fit it in his schedule. Official details about the festival are here: http://www.luger.se/nyheter.asp?PK_Id=112
Turns out that upcoming singer/songwriter festival Picnic is actually two dates: June 11 in Göteburg and June 12 in Stockholm. Again, artists scheduled to play include Nicolai Dunger, Richard Buckner (US), Denison Witmer (US), Ane Brun, Kristoffer Åström, Tiger Lou, Tomas Andersson Wij and Anna Ternheim.

Blackstar Foundation reports that they've received the master for the new Abandon album and should be sending it off for pressing soon. "78 minutes of pure anxiety." Sounds good to me. They also report that the new Araki album will be pressed as a double LP and should be ready by the end of May. That's Tiger Lou's old band, for those that don't know.

Startracks will be releasing "Sell Out" as the next single/video from his fantastic album "Is my head still on?". As Tiger is way busy touring with Weeping Willows right now, he's got no time to record a new b-side so that means the album track "Warmth" will have to do. Previous collaborator Magnus Renfors will direct the video.
