The latest album from Umeå's The Perishers is finally out in the US and you can preview it here: http://www.vh1.com/artists/az/perishers/878768/album.jhtml
Apparently drummer Thomas Hedlund has quit his other bands The Deportees and Cult of Luna to work with these guys full time and I can't say I blame him. Who could pass up a huge tour with Sarah McLachlan? They also have a new US website right here: http://www.theperishersmusic.com/
Sorry to say it, but that has to be one of the worst, most annoying flash-based sites I've seen in quite some time.

Those tough guys in The Perishers take a stand against bullies: http://www.perishers.nu/new/article.asp?id=40

I had a feeling this might happen: Magnus Lindberg will be taking over on drum duties on the upcoming Cult of Luna European tour as Thomas Hedlund is busy working with his other projects The Deportees and especially The Perishers. He'll still remain a member of the band, but he's got his other priorities.
