Invasionen debut confirmed for August
Invasionen, the Swedish-language version of Dennis Lyxzén's power-pop act The Lost Patrol Band, has finally confirmed that their debut 7" will be released on August 1 via April 77 Records.

Invasionen, the new version of Umeå all-stars The Lost Patrol Band, has uploaded a bunch of new Swedish-language demo tracks to myspace: http://www.myspace.com/lostpatrolband
The band is planning on writing new songs this spring and hopefully recording this summer.
As discussed before, Umeå-based all-star powerpop act The Lost Patrol Band has been forced to change their name. The new moniker: Invasionen. In semi-related news, frontman Dennis Lyxzén's other band The (International) Noise Conspiracy) is finishing up their new record. It's called "The cross of my calling" and will be out later this year via American Recordings.
The Lost Patrol Band, the all-star Norrland powerpop outfit fronted by Dennis Lyxzén (Int'l Noise Conspiracy, ex-Refused) is working on new material including both an English-language and a Swedish language album. The band is also contemplating a name change seeing as how NYC act Lost Patrol owns the US rights for the name, thus stifling all efforts to make inroads in America. More details when I get it.
The Lost Patrol Band has recorded a few new tracks recently. First up is the new song "Tidsfördriv" plus an Ebba Grön cover for a Ny Våg comp. Next we have a cover of "Come back and stay" by Jack Lee/The Nerves (and made famous by Paul Young) for tribute 7". As for the future, the band plans to do another two songs for a 7" on April77 Records.
