Century Media rock n' roll offshoot Liquor and Poker Music has announced that they will release the "Cream Of The Crap! Vol. 2" b-sides and rarities collection from The Hellacopters in the US on February 22.
Rock 'n' roll from Finspång, Sweden akin to The Hellacopters. Guitarist/vocalist Andreas Axelson and company deliver 12 tracks of good, clean retro-rock (see: Jet and any other band in the same category.) The album's opening track, "State of Shock" is a good opener that gets the toes tapping but then I found myself getting kinda bored halfway through the album. The last two tracks, "Too Much" and the album's title track, sound like how the entire album should have sounded. Recommended for fans of The Hellacopters and bands of that vein.

Okay, good news: The Hellacopters are most definitely not breaking up. I figured that was probably the case, but it's now been confirmed to me that "Rock and roll is dead" is actually the title of the band's forthcoming album. More news when I get it.

All-star Swedish punkrock sideproject Urkke T & The Midlife Crisis will be releasing a single with three cover tunes on it before the end of the year. The tracklist:

Bootleg Booze has announced that the debut full-length album "Long Hard Nights" from classic rockers The Deadbeats will be released on November 26. I thought their first 7" sounded awfully similar to The Hellacopters, but that's not necessarily such as a bad thing.
