You can now hear an extended snippet of the brand new Ark single "One of us is gonna die young" right here: http://www.emi.se/artists/theark/oouigdy/index.htm
Aftonbladet has the video posted, too: http://wwwb.aftonbladet.se/vss/streaming/tv_fonster/0,5208,m0no041118thearkvideo,00.html
I don't think it's quite as immediate as the last album's lead single "Calleth you, cometh I", but it's still pretty darn good IMO. I know it's probably not expected, but I really do have a soft spot for The Ark. Shhh!
Aftonbladet talks to The Ark about their new record and reports that the new material sounds like a mix of T. Rex and the Beach Boys: http://www.aftonbladet.se/vss/noje/story/0,2789,562646,00.html (in Swedish)
The new single from The Ark has been revealed to be called "One of us is gonna die young". It comes out on December 8 and, as promised, you can hear a preview for a short time right here: http://www.emi.se/artists/theark/oouigdy/index.htm
As for the new full-length, it was recorded at Tambourine Studios in Malmö with producers Per Sunding (Eggstone), Jens Andersson (Stereo Explosion), Nathan Larsson (Shudder to Think) and Ola Salo and comes out December 27.
The official website of The Ark will be premiering soundclips of brand new material online between 5 and 6pm on November 15: http://www.thearkworld.com/
The Ark will release a new single on November 19 and will follow with their new album on December 27. The titles have yet to be revealed, but a video has been filmed and more info should be available soon.
As mentioned before, The Ark has started work on their third album and I can now confirm that they are working at Tambourine Studios in Malmö with producer Per Sunding.
The Ark has begun work on their third album. Maybe it'll be out this fall?
The Ark and some of their crew has posted their best-of lists for 2003: http://www.thearkworld.com/list.htm
