In other news, fellow Scandinavian artist Teitur will be supporting her at Union Chapel in London on February 26 and then both Rebekka Karijord (NOR) and Jennie Abrahamsson (SWE) will be joining her for the gigs in Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham (02/24,27,28 respectively).

Lampshade report that they've completed work on seven new tracks. One happens to be a cover of "Den støjende tid" by Nikolaj Nørlund which will probably end up on a comp this coming fall and they also did a track called "Silkesår" which will feature guest vocals from Teitur.

Live @ Health Sunday, Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY, 05/04/08

Seeing as how this was Health Sunday, the rating is obvious. However, for those whom are unaware, Health Sunday consists mainly of playing soccer, and that is just what we did. We were graced this past weekend by the Faroese band Teitur, who, amidst their US tour, could not turn down an opportunity to partake in a match. A lovely day it was, sunny and around 70°F, the the lads did not disappoint. Singer Teitur Lassen had quite the success at the forward position, both assisting and scoring; and bassist Mikael Blak was a stalwart in the midfield slot. WIth a majority of the tour to go in support of their new album "The singer" (out soon), perhaps you can coax the band into playing a match -- I don't think it would be too difficult.

Umeå-based act Anna Leong has completed their second full-length album "Terrorarium" and will be releasing it later this spring. As usual, they recorded the album themselves, but this time they sent it to Swedish expat Martin Terefe (Ron Sexsmith, Martha Wainwright, Teitur) in London for mixing. Look for the first single "Guillotine" to be posted for free download on February 25 via myspace.

Look for Teitur's new album "The singer" in February.

Teitur's new album "Káta Hornið", previously only released in his native Faroe Islands and in Iceland, will receive a wider release on June 25. This is considering his "homecoming record" and is sung entirely in the Faroese language.
