Starmarket has confirmed an October 15 release date for their new album "Abandon Time". A month previous to that, a new EP called "Cologne" will be released that will feature two additional songs not on the full-length. And lastly, a full European tour is in the works for November and dates should be coming along shortly.

Long-running Swedish indierockers Starmarket are back at last! They've finished the new album "Abandon Time" and sent it off to get pressed. Strange Fruit will release it in Germany while Fredrik at Startracks is helping distribute it in Sweden, though not directly through his own label. There's also going to be a three-song EP in September. Download the song "Antichrist" right here: http://www.starmarket.nu/sound/Starmarket_antichrist.mp3

Fredrik Brändström of Starmarket/The Crystal Committee will be standing in on bass for Johan Gustavsson on the upcoming Randy shows with Bad Religion as Johan is becoming a father. Congrats! Will Johan Brändström feel intimidated with his older brother on stage?

Starmarket has finished recording fifteen new songs for their next album, tentatively titled "Don't Fear the Dark Ends". Not all of the tracks will make it on the final product and there's still no label yet, but they'll finish up with mixing later this coming spring at Studio Gröndahl.

Chalksounds has put together another festival, this one taking place at Debaser in Stockholm on January 16. Moonbabies and The End Will Be Kicks will be playing and DJ Norrland and Fredrik Brändström (Crystal Committee, Starmarket) will spin records. The first twenty people through the door will receive free copies of the new Moonbabies CD, too.

Also from Chalksounds comes word that US label Minty Fresh is working with Soviac trying to get their music into the movies. No word yet on whether they've been successful yet, but I'll let you know.

Bands confirmed so far for the upcoming "Chalksounds V/A Vol 1" compilation from Chalksounds records: Moonbabies, Starmarket, Alarma Man, The End Will Be Kicks, The Je Ne Sais Quoi, KVLR, Park Hotel, Ellis the Vaccuumchild and The Crystal Committee. Look for it in the spring.
