New mp3 today from singer/songwriter Racingpaperplanes aka Richard Wilson of Göteborg, Sweden. Today's selection is a part of a new net-single, out today from Realease Records. Like me, most people probably first heard of Richard through his involvement with the "I am a cold rock, I am dull grass" Will Oldham tribute on Tract Records. I know it's kind of an oxymoron to recommend Swedish Americana music, but when it's done right, there ain't nothing wrong. Swedish singer/songwriter Racingpaperplanes aka Richard Wilson has signed with Realease Records, home of B.U.C.K. and others. The album "Self sleep service" will soon be available through the label's mailorder and will eventually be getting a proper Swedish release. In other news, look for Racingpaperplanes to tour with Hanif in the near future. Dates soon.
