In case you hadn't noticed, Lars Kjaer Dideriksen of Danish music site Supertanker.tk has been conspicuously absent recently and he's finally come clean with what he's been up to. It seems that he is currently very busy working on an upcoming book/CD/website spotlighting the city of Aarhus, Denmark. That includes up and coming bands such as Under Byen, Tiger Tunes, Powersolo, Strumm, Singvogel and more. More info coming soon, but you can get an overview here for now: http://www.aarhus-nu.dk/

The first confirmations for Denmark's Spot10 Festival on June 4-5 in Aarhus: Tim Christensen, Thomas Dybdahl, Mum, José González, Kira & The Kindred Spirits, David & The Citizens, Hush, Mugison, Laakso, Larsen & Furious Jane, Powersolo, Martin Ryum and Sepiamusic. More info: http://www.spot10.dk/

Gaffe reports on "donkey punk"-trio PowerSolo and their new album "It's Raceday ... And Your Pussy Is Gut!!!" coming out on Crunchy Frog on March 8: http://gaffa.dk/nyheder/view.php/news_id=11643 (in Danish)

Danish "donkeypunk" band Powersolo report that they have recently signed with Crunchy Frog (Junior Senior, The Raveonettes) and are hard at work on their new album, tentatively due out in February next year. They say the sound will be "a mix of punkrock, pop, country and western, rockabilly and... God knows what else."

Junior Senior finally get a proper US release this week and are already gathering all sorts of positive reviews. Head over to Supertanker.tk for links. In other news, the band is set to appear on the 'Late Show with Craig Kilborn' on CBS on August 15 and the new Sharon Osbourne show sometime in September (assuming the program makes it to air).

Bands scheduled to play the Crunchy Frog-sponsored Vibracrunch fest in Malmö, Sweden on August 22: Mew, Powersolo, Baby Woodrose, Superheroes, Learning from Las Vegas, Hank, Dub Sweden and First Floor Power. More info: http://www.crunchy.dk/asp/default.asp?News_Id=82
