Spain's multidisciplinary Scandinavian arts festival Días Nórdicos is back for a 2nd year this coming September and October. Danish artist Lise Westzynthius, together with friends/countrymates Søren Bigum (Our Broken Garden) and Moogie Johnson (Munck//Jonnson), have recorded a cover of the Sebastian song "Jennys himmelfærd" for inclusion on an upcoming tribute comp entitled "En hyldest til Sebastian" which is due out October 26. Rumraket, the label run by the people in Efterklang, have announced the signing of Our Broken Garden, the solo project of Efterklang live member Anna Bronsted. Her debut EP will be out in April with an international release via another band-run label, Bella Union (Cocteau Twins). A full-length will follow in fall. The initial lineup for the second annual Nordklang Festival in St. Gallen, Switzerland has been announced for February 15-17 and will include Speaker Bite Me, Harald Haugaard & Morten Alfred Høirup, Efterklang and Our Broken Garden (Denmark), Amiina and Pétur Ben (Iceland), Rasmus Lyberth (Greenland), Dánjal and The Ghost (Faroe Islands), Frigg (Finland), Jackman (Norway) and Taxi Taxi (Sweden). The festival won't just promote Scandinavian music either, side-events include a focus on Nordic cinema as well as focus on Nordic books at historical monastery library Stiftsbibliothek.
