Swedish death metallers Miasmal will be spending three weeks touring Europe in May: http://agrimonia.info/miasmal/livedates.htm
Miasmal end-of-tour show last night here in Olympia: sick. My expectations were met and exceeded. Sanctuary in Blasphemy were really good too. Tonight: Martyrdöd in Seattle with a stacked lineup that includes Walls, No Statik, Crazy Spirit, Slowmotions and, for some reason, my own band Criminal Code. Not my doing, but it's not as if I'm gonna complain. Besides, it's always nice to be playing a show you'd be attending regardless. See you there?
Miasmal is the featured band of the week in the Terrorizer Magazine blog along with a big interview: http://truecultheavymetal.com/blog1.php/2011/04/28/kat-s-band-of-the-week-miasmal
Swedish death metal act Miasmal is the latest to ditch myspace for their own website: http://miasmal.net/

Expect venues to be confirmed shortly. I'm pretty sure the Oly show will probably be in someone's basement somewhere.
I've heard a bunch of Miasmal stuff over the years and even shelled out for the ultra-limited/sought-after 12" version of the demo on , but I never felt like they lived up to the hype. Solid Swedish death, sure, but we're pretty much drowning in B-grade versions of the stuff right now. This new tune, however, totally changed my mind. If the rest of the album is as good as this, it's gonna be sick. The US tour can't happen soon enough, I just hope the boneheads in Bone Sickness don't screw things up.
Miasmal - Toxic breed
I don't know if it's a one-off thing due to the collision of the Miasmal/Sanctuary in Blasphemy tours or what, but Martyrdöd is coming to the US and will be playing the Black Lodge in Seattle on June 17 with No Statik, Walls, Slowmotions (JPN), Crazy Spirit and my own dumb band Criminal Code. Should be pretty awesome.

The band's new album is complete and should be out in time for the band's upcoming US tour in April. And I gotta say; I was pretty tentative about these dudes before, but this new track rules.
Sanctuary in Blasphemy is doing a US tour? And it's starting here in Olympia, WA? With Miasmal and Bone Sickness? See you there! (other dates tbc)
