The new Lydia Laska single "Nervous" will be released on May 18, the day after Norwegian National Day. Look for it to appear on myspace on May 4.

Krankenhaus delayed

has decided to push back the release of Lydia Laska's new album "Krankenhaus" to August in order to give it more visibility following the busy summer festival season.

Duplicate to release Virus on vinyl

Duplicate Records will be putting out a vinyl edition of Virus' acclaimed "Carheart" album sometime around January/February. Also on the way from the label is the full-length debut from Lydia Laska which will be called "Krankenhaus" and should be out sometime around April.

Lydia Laska finish album

Norwegian pop-black-metal-punks Lydia Laska report that their new album is done and mixed and confirmed for a March 2010 release. I'm not sure if it has a title, but they did say that many fellow Oslo-based artists make guest appearances on said album including Nattefrost (Carpathian Forest), Emil Nikolaisen and Eivind Schou (Serena-Maneesh), Kjetil M°ster (Datarock), Sissy Wish and quite a few others. Presenting: Starving Artist Kokebok

A group of Oslo-based artist expats (2 Australians, 1 Canadian) have put together something called the "Starving Artist Kokebok", or "cookbook" for the Norwegian-impaired, a book and CD package featuring artwork, stories and of course recipes from 37 fellow Oslo-based bands, artists and journalists. Norway Rat (┼rabrot, Noxagt) has signed punk-rockers Lydia Laska and will be releasing the new 7" "Could I have a go on your girl, please?" b/w "Mandy", a new version of the old track from their "We're nothing compared to ourselves" EP. Guests on the a-side include Emil Nikolaisen (Serena Maneesh) on guitar and Sissy Wish on backing vocals. Expect it sometime in November. The band is also working on a new full-length with an eye for a February release.
