Yeah, it's not all Scandinavian stuff, but whatcha gonna do? Anyhow, those cover EPs are the first in a series in which an artist records 4-5 of their favorite songs. Sounds like fun, so I'm def looking forward to that.
Here's another reminder that Kenneth Ishak of Norwegian power-pop act Beezewax is doing some solo shows in the US this week. He's playing with pick-up band of various folks including ex-members from Latebloomer, Cross My Heart and Trustfall. Dates:

Norwegian singer/songwriter Kenneth Ishak of Beezewax will be doing a few selected dates on the East Coast in October and is currently seeking out booking help. If you can lend a hand in any way, please get a hold of me and I'll pass along the information. Also, if there's any drummers out there who want to play with the band on these dates, please let me know.
UK-based label Firefly Recordings will be releasing the second solo album "Everything has soul" from Beezewax frontman Kenneth Ishak. It should be available for ordering within the next few weeks. The label also has plans to put out a Beezewax album in the future as well.
In somewhat related news, Sell-Out also mentions that the US label Popkid might be licensing Kenneth Ishak from them for a North American release. Kenneth is the lead singer for the band Beezewax and his debut solo album "Northern exposure" came out earlier this year.
Kenneth Ishak of Norway's Beezewax will be playing solo at the Baybeats Festival in Singapore on July 18. His solo debut "Northern Exposure" should also be out in the US on PopKid Records around July as well. A video was recently filmed for the track "How you have grown" and it should be getting aired on Scandinavian TV soon.

Beezewax lead vocalist Kenneth Ishak will release his debut solo album "Northern Exposure" in Scandinavia on Sellout! Music in January, PopKid UK Records in the UK before Christmas and over in the US on plain ol' PopKid Records sometime next year. The music is described as "heart wrenching emo-pop" and can be said to appeal to fans of Dashboard Confessional and Buffalo Tom.
