According to MI, Push Music is priming Kamera for the international music market. I thought the new wave thing was kind of over and done with two years ago, but it seems like the hype for the new Faint and Melody Club records has not waned at all. Good luck guys!

As alerted by Zero, Julian from the synthpop group Bobby is working on a new project with Carl Hammar (DayBehavior), Joakim Hjelm and Carl Delorean (Kamera), Space Age Baby Jane, Johan Kinde (Lustans Lakejer) and more. A solo record perhaps? As for Bobby, they are currently persuing a new recording contract and working on new material. Some of the song titles are "Dancing In L.A", "The Cartoon Detectives" and "Come Crashing In".

I went down to LA on Saturday for that ExMS Swedish Showcase at the Troubadour and it was fantastic. Not only did all five bands (Kristofer Åström, Holden, Kamera, Hell on Wheels and Hardcore Superstar) put on a good show, but everyone was tremendously nice and fun to hang out with. Big ups to everyone involved involved, including Christer at ExMS, Fredrik from Startracks, Alf the tour manager, HS' label folks and so on and so forth. I'm so glad I made the trip. Dead Frog Records act Holden is yet another act that's been selected by EXMS to go to the US for SXSW. That makes the lineup: Hell On Wheels, Kamera, Kristoffer Åström and Hardcore Superstar. Anyone else?
