JR Ewing, Disciplin and Tiger Allstars (members of Silver, JR Ewing and Amulet) are teaming up for a tribute to Norwegian 'underground warrior' Tor André Knudsen who recently passed away. The show will happen June 9 at John Dee in Oslo and all proceeds will go towards a fund set up to help support the Norwegian underground music-scene. A good show and a good cause, so be sure to give them your support.

The band was recently at Duper Studio in Bergen with producer Jørgen Træen working on a new single consisting of one new song and a cover of a PJ Harvey song. Look for that to be released soon. The band also has plans to start work on their third full-length sometime within the next few months.

JR Ewing will be heading into Duper Studios in Bergen, Norway later this month with Jørgen Træen to record some songs for a new single. They'll be debuting a bunch of the new material at a one-off show up there on March 27 at Hulen with Crash.

Some of the new bands on the City Sound Festival lineup: Magnet, Vidar Busk, Division of Laura Lee, Amulet, JR Ewing, Le Mans, Differnet and Beezewax.

Third time's a charm? Norwegian hardcore act JR Ewing is once again making an attempt to tour the UK after cancelling their last two scheduled appearances. Dates:

Norweigan all-star group KILL will play the Ideal fest in Göteborg on March 12 next year. The band consists of Martin Horntveth (Jaga Jazzist), Erlend Mokkelbost (JR Ewing), Are Mokkelbost (Single Unit, Arm) and Espen Hangård (NoPlaceToHide) and was originally formed to Digimetal two years ago. That's quite a line-up! Other Scandinavian artists confirmed for the same fest include Pan Sonic, Mikkel Metal, Hazard, Contemporary Punk Unit, Peaux and DJ Jean-Louis Huhta.

JR Ewing has been forced to cancel their UK dates with Dillinger Escape Plan and Cult Of Luna, as well as the shows they were supposed to headline due to being totally broke and tired following their recently completed US tour. They promise they'll be back at some point, hopefully in late February.
