Huoratron loses me when he heads into dubstep and other equally dodgy territory, but give me a hard-pounding track full of crunchy distortion, industrial drilling and all other sorts of digital smears and detritus and you know what? I'm ecstatic.

Finnish artists Jori Hulkkonen, Cleaning Women, Huoratron and Ovali Virta will be touring China together as part of the 'Sounds Like Suomi' project put together by Myymälä2 and sponsored by the Finnish Ministry of Education, Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, LUSES (The Foundation for the Promotion of Finnish Music) and ESEK (The Finnish Performing Music Promotion Centre) along with a number of corporate donors. Flora and Fauna, the label of Moder Jords Massiva, is celebrating their 20th release with a special party at Mondo in Stockholm on December 10. They'll be handing out a free 'greatest hits' label comp to the first 500 entrants and there will be live performances by Huoratron, Hundarna från Söder, MJM, Existensminimum and a "new experimental electronic act." The Information Wants to Be Free "spoken word, video-art, performances and experimental electronica musique" festival has announced more details of their lineup today. The international event takes place in three separate locations (Berlin, London and Stockholm) and features a myriad of speakers and performers. As mentioned before, representing Sweden in Berlin on December 6 is Sanctum sideproject Mago. They'll also be playing at one of the Stockholm shows which will take place December 4-6.
