Mattias Friberg (Logh) will be playing a one-off show in NYC before embarking on tour with Fever Ray at Piano's on September 23.
Pitchfork has the premiere of the new Fever Ray video "Seven": http://pitchfork.com/tv/#/musicvideo/3816-fever-ray-seven-mute
Fever Ray have announced their final dates for the year and here are the new ones outside Scandinavia:
12/02 - Kampnagel, Hamburg (GER)
12/03 - Paradiso, Amsterdam (HOL)
12/04 - Transmusicales Festival, Rennes (FRA)
12/05 - HMV Forum, London (UK)
Fever Ray has a new 7" that she recorded with tour partners Van Rivers and The Subliminal Kid featuring covers of Nick Cave's "Stranger than kindess and Vashti Bunyan's "Here before".
Fever Ray's next single will be for the track "Seven" and will be released on October 5. As always, a huge assortment of artists have been lined up to provide remixes including Crookers, Martyn, CSS, Marcel Dettman, Seth Troxler and Nicolas Chacona. Fellow Swede Johan Renck will direct the video.
Fever Ray has selected Finnish/American artist Vuk to be the opening act on their upcoming US tour. Hear samples at myspace: http://www.myspace.com/vukmusic
Logh's upcoming show at the Knitting Factory in LA on September 10 (previously mentioned here) will actually just be Mattias Friberg solo + backing tracks. My understanding is that Mattias is coming over on tour with Fever Ray (he is doing backline) and will be taking the opportunity to do his own thing on the side.

"Happy without the boy" directly confronts all old maid/independent woman stereotypes, prejudices and presumptions to say that, yes, a woman can be happy by herself. She does not need a man to complete her, nor does it make her gay or weird or anything else. Absolutely nothing worth fretting over. Of course, people talk and let's not even get into women who decide to forgo children, that's a whole 'nother rat-hole. Cilihili (aka Cecilia Nordlund from Souls/Monkeystrikes, also live w/Fever Ray) has always been a strong, pro-female artist both on and off stage (she also works with Popkollo for instance), but even better that she lays it out in song in no uncertain terms. Better than that, it's by far the highlight of her album "Not listening".
