Efterklang is composing the score for two new plays to be put on by Danish theater group Teater GROB. The first work is called "En Plads i Mit Hjerte" and will debut on August 23 at Kaleidoskop in Copenhagen. The second, "Som Hos Dig Står", opens November 17 at PLEX. Rumraket, the label run by the people in Efterklang, have announced the signing of Our Broken Garden, the solo project of Efterklang live member Anna Bronsted. Her debut EP will be out in April with an international release via another band-run label, Bella Union (Cocteau Twins). A full-length will follow in fall. Swedish jazz label Found You Recordings will release Open Trio's (nee Saga) new album "Good Bye Every Time" on April 1. The group will celebrate with a release party at Teaterstudio Lederman in Stockholm before heading off to do a few other dates around the country. The initial lineup for the second annual Nordklang Festival in St. Gallen, Switzerland has been announced for February 15-17 and will include Speaker Bite Me, Harald Haugaard & Morten Alfred Høirup, Efterklang and Our Broken Garden (Denmark), Amiina and Pétur Ben (Iceland), Rasmus Lyberth (Greenland), Dánjal and The Ghost (Faroe Islands), Frigg (Finland), Jackman (Norway) and Taxi Taxi (Sweden). The festival won't just promote Scandinavian music either, side-events include a focus on Nordic cinema as well as focus on Nordic books at historical monastery library Stiftsbibliothek.
