The video for the new Deportees single "Damaged goods" is now online: http://www.emi.se/artists/deportees/dg/index.htm
Deportees will be releasing a new single entitled "Damaged goods" on June 7 as a precursor to their new album, due out September 27. "Damaged goods" was produced by the very-talented Björn Yttling (Peter, Bjorn and John, etc.) and will include the b-side "Wreck of a heart".
Dolores Recordings has announced that "Damaged goods" will be the next Deportees single, release date still tba. Also on the way from Dolores is part three of their "Who will buy these wonderful evils" psych/garage-rock comp series. Again, exact release date is tba.
The third annual Access All Area music conference has started to come together. It will take place November 9-10 in Stockholm and will feature live music from Sugarplum Fairy, Crashdiet, Anna Ternheim, CDOASS, Deportees and SLS as well as a number of informative discussions on the future of the music industry. As always, I am always willing to entertain any offers to fly me out. For more info, go here: http://www.accessallareas.se/
Fredrik Fagerlund (Facer, Diamond Dogs) will be releasing his debut solo album "International" on Smilodon Records in the near future. A number of guests from the bands Isolation Years, Deportees, Perishers and Diamond Dogs join him on the recording and the sound is said to be "like a meeting between Tom Petty, Coldplay, Radiohead and Chris Isaak."

Okay, I think I'm adequately recovered from my trip to LA for the ExMS Swedish showcase. I sat down for some nice chats with Anders from Moneybrother and Peter of Burning Heart Records, so look for that stuff to get posted soon. Transcriptions are not my strong point, but I'll try to get it done ASAP. As for the show, the Deportees were only slightly less boring live than on record, Moneybrother ruled but suffered from a somewhat indifferent crowd and The Ark was brilliant. Who knew those guys had so many screaming gayboy fans in LA? They actually got called back for a much-deserved encore of "Father of a son" too. Good times.
