The Bombhappies album preview

The Bombhappies have posted their entire new album "A good fire" for streaming in full via Soundcloud -- highly recommended for fans of jangly pop ala REM. Likewise, fans of such sounds are encouraged to check out Anchorless' latest record "Every nook and cranny" as well.

Anchorless - Awry aesthetics

"Awry aesthetics" is the opening track of the upcoming Anchorless ablum "Every nook and cranny" and once again, it sounds a lot more like REM than their debut EP did.

Anchorless - Settle with the signs

"Settle with the signs" is the lead single from Anchorless' upcoming full-length debut "Every nook and cranny", due out February 6 via . Sounds like old REM to me which is not at all what I expected.

Anchorless sign with Play/Rec

Ex-Lack act Anchorless has been officially picked up by and will be releasing their debut full-length "Every nook and crany" in February.

The Fashion is done

Gaffa reports that Danish act The Fashion has called it quits:
No tears from me on that one. Look for members to stay musically active in other constellations, such as Anchorless, Stereo Science, Hammonds Harrington & Destroy and the label .

Rising gets a new drummer, more

Drummer Martin Niemann (ex-Marvins Revolt) has decided to take a break from music and has resigned from his place on the throne for Danish heavy rockers Rising. Jacob Johansen (Anchorless, The Fashion, ex-Lack), who has already previously sat in with the band back in late 2009, will be taking his place. As for the future, the band has cancelled their show with Moloken on May 21 and will instead debut the new lineup on May 28-29, in Göteborg and Malmö respectively, their very first Swedish dates. Otherwise, the band plans to work on their debut full-length for next six months or so and will be touring Europe in September.

Download Anchorless

It wasn't supposed to happen until tomorrow (May 1st), but it appears that the new Anchorless (ex-Lack) EP is already available as a free download direct from the band and label :

Anchorless signs with PonyRec

Anchorless, the new band from ex-Lack members Jakob Nielsen and Jacob Johansen, have been picked up not by as I would assume, but by the similarly-named . Look for their self-titled debut EP in April.

New songs from Achorless

Anchorless (ex-Lack) are streaming a couple more new tracks at myspace from their upcoming EP:
Still no word yet on when it's coming out or on what label (?), but I'll keep you posted.

Anchorless tour

Danish act Anchorless (ex-Lack) has booked themselves a short European tour:

05/01 - Festival, Prague (CZ)
05/02 - Rhiz, Vienna, Wien (AUS)

Lack members move on, pt. 2

Besides Anchorless (remember?), there's another new ex-Lack band in town and they're called Beautiful Burning World. Check it:
