Whyte Seeds will be going into the studio in July to record a new album. They say to expect a mix of The Cars and Popsicle along with whatever it is that they sound like.

As I said last week, I find this album to be one of the best Swedish black metal releases I've heard in years. I cannot at all agree with the assertation that their older material is better.
Sublime Exile has a new single from anonymous duo Fake performing a cover of Velvet Underground's classic "I'm waiting for the man", totally sucking out all of the heroin vibe: https://www.subexile.com/
Swedish indie act King Str has posted their new single "You knew" on myspace: https://www.myspace.com/kingstr
The band cites The Radio Dept. and Pet Shop Boys as major influences, so I personally find them to be fairly boring, but perhaps you will disagree.

Absolut Noise talks to Swedish goth/post-punk act Ikons, a band that features one of the guys from Samuraj Cities: https://absolutnoise.blogspot.com/2007/05/cracking-up.html
What the fuck? I drove 100 miles tonight to go see Peter Bjorn and John, a band that I not only featured as the lead track on my first "Reader's companion" compilation, but also someone I have been a fan of for close to five years now, only to be turned away because my name was not on the list as promised. I didn't have to be on the guestlist, I would've gladly paid for my own ticket if necessary. In fact, I would've still paid my own way after being denied, except the show was sold out. That's why I checked in again on Friday to make sure everything was taken care of. I don't know if I'm more disappointed or angry or what.
