Peter Ahlqvist of Burning Heart Records has started a new full-service record label called Panic & Action and has already recruited three bands to his roster: Chemical Vocation, Adept and Social Siberia. Working together with him is Eric Höjden from BHR act Kid Down and booking agent Andreas Skogmo, the winner of the 2006 Millencolin Music Prize for his DIY show promotion in Örebro with District 19. Look for new albums and tours with Chemical Vocation and Adept this fall, to be followed by a Social Siberia album in the spring along with a compilation/tour package under the "Panic & Action" banner. The Raveonettes report that the first 4-song EP of their upcoming 3-part EP series is done and will be released in September. It will be called "Sometimes they drop by" and is said to be "an explosive mixture of electronic sounds and a tiny bit of guitar."

Regain Records will be putting out reissues of five albums from the Entombed/Nihilist back-catalogue including "Inferno", "Unreal Estate", "Serpent saints", "When in Sodom" and "Nihilist demos". No exact date set yet, but expect them by the end of the year.

The excellent Swedish pop-punk act Smalltown reports that their new album "Implosion" is mixed and mastered. The band describes it by saying "it is very different from the last one, while still sounding very much like Smalltown. If that makes sense. We've tried some new stuff, with a lot of different instruments and other things." All that's left is the layout and then it's up to labels Combat Rock and Deranged to see it released.

Norwegian artist Petter Carlsen reports from the studio that a new album is on track for a January release.
