Look for a new EP from Trummor & Orgel sometime around late October. Maybe this is the release with Magnus Carlson (Weeping Willows) singing Georgie Fame's "Somebody stole my thunder"?

Norwegian rock legends Backstreet Girls will go into the studio next month to record an album. Expect a February/March release + tour to coincide with the band's 25th anniversary.

It seems a record deal with Razzia was in the making, but it didn't work out due to a number of reasons. No hard feelings it seems, that's just the way the biz goes sometimes.

Norwegian artist Askil Holm will be at Velvet Recording in Spydeberg recording a new album this September. Expect an early 2009 release.
Cloudberry Records will be putting out a 2-song 7" from Norwegian act Je Suis Animal in the near future. I'm not a huge fan of a lot of the stuff Cloudberry puts out, but this is definitely a release to get excited about.

As if "Colossal" wasn't heavy enough, this one's sure to level some buildings. Almost any band that incorporates the Black Flag bars into their logo (see the last few tracks in the player) is worth investigating.
Danish indie act The Elephants will be going into the studio with Mads Andersen in late October to begin work on their next record.
Jonas Bjerre (Mew), Guy Berryman (Coldplay) and Magne Furuholmen (A-ha) have apparently joined forces in a new supergroup under the name Apparatjik. The trio recorded the theme song for upcoming BBC2 series "Amazon", premiering on September 22, and so far has no plans to do anything else.
Nosordo's next release will be an LP from Oceans of Silver and Blood, the drone duo of Joachim Nordwall (The Skull Defekts, Kid Commando, iDEAL) and string/sound artist Mark Wastell. Structures Sonores, the label of IAT.MP3 artist Sonores, will be putting out the debut album "Any where out of the world" from Swedish electronic act Auton. The label had originally been planning on releasing a comp of contemporary Swedish music entitled "While we're learning to forget", but has since decided to sideline that as Auton's material is said to be far stronger.
