Danish label Speed of Sound has announced the signing of four new bands: Stoffer og Maskinen, Sleep Party People, Sterling and Leth og Remar, a collaboration between Morten Remar (Back to Back) and Kristian Leth (The William Blakes). Follow the links for more.

Millencolin is teaming up with their local Örebro football team ÖSK Fotbol for a new single/fightsong, their first new track på Svenska since "E20 Norr" in 2002. Razzia Records has signed Joel Alme and will be releasing his Mattias Glavå-produced sophomore album in early 2010. His debut record "A master of ceremonies" was released in 2008 via Sincerely Yours.
Despotz Records (The Deer Tracks, Twiggy Frostbite) has announced the signing of Swedish pop artist Titiyo. No word on her next release, but I'll be sure to keep you posted.
Combat Rock Industry reports that the new St. Hood album "For the dead" is being prepped for an August release. Also, the next two entries in their ongoing classic Finnish punk 7" reissue series will be out in "about a month" and they are Unicef's "Kakimassaa" and Lama's "Nimeton". Expect preorders to begin soon.

Danish act Didium and The Black Bonnie Picture report that they have secured the services of famed producer/engineer Paul Schroeder (The Verve, Stone Roses, Talk Talk etc.) to work on their next album. He will produce six tracks and will also mix the whole lot.

Roxy Recordings reports that the new Peter Jöback album "Eastside stories" will be released in October. The album was recorded with producer Lars Halapi in New York and features many guest stars such as Kate Pierson (The B52s), Sia and more and will feature cover tunes by artists such as Divine Comedy, Rufus Wainright, Chris Isaak, Travis and Depeche Mode.
