Wildbirds & Peacedrums confirm 7" single

Wildbirds & Peacedrums will be releasing "My heart" on a 7" single with a "bluesy guitar-driven" remix by Deerhoof on the flip. The digital version of said single will also include a remix by Hortlax Cobra aka John Eriksson of Peter Bjorn and John and another from Portland, OR-based artists AU. Hypertext adds new member

Øivind Hatleskog (ex-Jeremy) has been enlisted as a new member of Hypertext. The band is currently working on their full-length debut and aim to be finished this month.

New Racingpaperplanes EP this fall

IAT.MP3 artist Racingpaperplanes is recording a new EP under the tutelage of Kristofer Åström, who is also helping with some backing instrumentation. Mainman Richard Wilson tells me three songs are done so far and the whole thing will be released by Tract Records this fall.

New Nicolai Dunger album 'Play' coming in October

Swedish singer/songwriter Nicolai Dunger will be releasing his new album "Play", his first proper "pop" album since 2004's "Here's my song...", on October 14 via Flesh Boat Recordings/Bonnier Amigo. It was recorded with Mats Schuberts from Bo Kaspers Orkester and co-produced by Staffan Andersson (Lars Winnerbäck, Olle Ljungström). Mats also plays in the backing band along with drummer Federico de Costa (Qoph), renown reeds player Jonas Kullhammar and the illustrious Per Wikström on congas, who you might recognize from this video.

A-ha confirm new single

"Nothing is keeping you here" has been selected as the 2nd single from A-ha's latest record "Foot of the mountain". The official release date is September 21.

New Radio Dept. album pushed back to February 2010

January Jaunt comes to an end
