Newly signed to Plugged's hard-rock imprint Plug or Die are the bands Paperback Freud and Rise And Shine. Look for new stuff from them around march/April.

Denmark's Lake Placid will be contributing their version of the song "Everything counts" to an upcoming all-Danish Depeche mode tribute to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the first Dm single being released in Denmark. Other bands on the comp include Sterling, moi Caprice, Tiger Baby, Jet (aka Dub Tractor), Track 72 (aka Tue Track), The Figurines and Diefenbach a.o.. It comes out February 27.

In other Lake Placid news, the band is now spread out all over the world with members in Copenhagen, NYC, malmö and Berlin, but they still have plans to make music together, they just won't be playing any shows for awhile.
